Three Farmers Joins The On Q Family: Welcome Aboard!

The healthy snack industry is booming in Canada and On Q Communications is thrilled to be working with Canadian healthy snack innovators, Three Farmers and their Roasted Chickpea and Pea Pop snacks.

Three Farmers was founded in 2011 by three neighbouring Saskatchewan farmers who discovered the health benefits of the ancient oilseed, Camelina. Their first product to market was Camelina cooking oil. This oil is organic, high in Omega 3’s and all natural. Three Farmers brought the Camelina oil to Dragons’ Den and piqued the interest of Dragon Arlene Dickinson. The company experienced rapid growth and by 2014, Three Farmers added healthy snack foods to their product line. As snack lovers themselves, the founders want to provide a healthy alternative. They believe in products that are not only healthy and delicious but completely transparent and traceable back to where the grains are grown. Three Farmers products are minimally processed and 100% Canadian. They truly live the Better for You mantra.

Sisters Natasha and Elysia Vandenhurk each bring unique skill sets to the Three Farmers brand. As the daughters of one of the farmers who founded the company, Elysia and Natasha have seen first hand what it means to bring forth a product they feel proud about. As the CEO, Natasha is focused on creating healthy, natural foods that the Canadian consumer can feel good about buying and consuming. COO and a Red Seal Chef, Elysia, uses her culinary talents to create delicious and innovative foods that focus on quality and flavour while still offering clean ingredients for the health conscious consumer.

On Q Communications will be spearheading the media relations and influencer relations efforts for Three Farmers and we are excited for the journey ahead!!
