POSITION: Social Media Specialist

LOCATION: Toronto, ON

JOB TYPE: Contract or FT – several positions available

JOB OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will support social media initiatives for clients of On Q

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Participate in strategy and brainstorm discussions for current clients and prospective clients.

– Execute social media plans for clients including daily engagement on appropriate social media

platforms

– Social media strategy

– Daily monitoring of social media channels for each client

– Cultivate and schedule content for publishing

– Coordinate contests, promotions and fan acquisition campaigns

– Build relationships and cross-promotion with appropriate companies on behalf of clients

– Monitor social media analytics for each client

– Work towards building and growing an influential online community for each client

– Work closely with the Managing Director and review responsibilities on a weekly basis

– Test and evaluate new social media tools as required

– Keep abreast of emerging social media platforms, tools and technologies on an ongoing

basis

– Digital advertising on main social media platforms

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

– University or college degree

– 2-3 years experience in an online marketing role

– Sound knowledge of popular social media channels, including Facebook ,Twitter, YouTube,

Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, blogs and location-based services

– Solid understanding of social media metrics and analytics

– Effective writing and communication

– Work well independently and as a team member

– Strong collaborative skills and ability to influence

– Project management experience with the ability to reset priorities in a rapidly changing

environment

– Social media advertising experience an advantage

– Graphic design experience is a strong asset

POSITION: Media Relations Specialist

LOCATION: Toronto, ON

JOB TYPE: Contract/ FT – several positions available

JOB OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will support public relations initiatives for clients

of On Q.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Participate in strategy and brainstorm discussions for current clients and prospective clients

– Execute media relations plan and meet client goals on a monthly basis

– Daily monitoring of media (offline and online) highlighting subject areas that relate to our

clients

– Proactively seeking media relations coverage on behalf of clients

– Work with On Q social media representative to cross-promote exposure for clients

– Monitor media requests and coverage on behalf of the client

– Monthly media reporting for each client

– Work towards building and growing strong relationships in the media

(reporters/editors/producers) on behalf of our clients

– Work closely with the Managing Director and review responsibilities on a weekly basis

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

– 2 years experience in a public relations role

– Strong and current relationships with media is a bonus

– Experience using reporting software

– Work well independently and as a team member

– Strong collaborative skills and ability to influence

– Project management experience with the ability to reset priorities in a rapidly changing

environment

– Experience writing content for social media, blogs and websites and/or community

management is advantageous
